Dinobots

One of my childhood dreams was to own the dinobots toys! Dinosaurs and robots combined into 1 toy is sheer awesomeness for a boy!

Thanks to justitoys, for creating clones of the original dinobots, this set is the next best thing to owning the original g1 roundup. Not unless Takara reissues them in the current Encore line. Wow, that would be a treat too.

Here are their boxes, notice the different names, hiding under the guise of the alternate names, the undeniable box art show the obvious dinobot character references.

WST - western standard time?
nopes, World's Smallest Dinobots. They're around 3" to 4" in height.
Here they are! oh yeah.
From left to right. Snarl, Slag, Grimlock, Sludge, Swoop.
The middle 3 were the first dinobots, while the 2 on the sides were just later on built to join the group.

They look really good although I have qualms about their fragility and some loose parts. Some of them have detachable parts, like having to manually attach their hands when in robot mode and detaching them to loose parts when in dino mode. The metal parts, chromed and gold parts make up for it though.

I hope they also get released in the classics line or animated line (only Grimlock has been made available). As modern articulation really would be great add ons for the dinobots! :) But for now, I can't complain. It's nice having to complete one's childhood dreams no matter how long it's been, and no matter how primitive the joints and articulation are. It's feels like getting only yesterday's wishlist for santa. Awesome awesome dinobots!
